Cast: Aadi, Isha Chawla, Brahmanandam, Dev Gill, Sindhu Tolani, Naga Babu, Jayasudha and others
Music: Anup Rubens
Cinematography: Chota K Naidu
Editing: Goutham Raju
Story, screenplay, direction: K Vijayabhaskar
Producer: K Atchi Reddy
Story:
Prema (Isha Chawla), who is a daughter of Jail Superintendent (Nazar) gets harassed by one person (Shafi) who has the photos of Prema kissing Srinu. Who is Srinu (Aadi)? He is a classmate of Prema who falls for her in the first sight and tries to woo her all the time. But being a conservative girl, Prema doesn’t respond to his love. Then happens this kissing incident which turns out to be a nightmare of her life. Who is Shafi? What is the intention behind his harassment will be revealed later.
Performances:
Sai Kumar’s son Aadi is fine. His performance for a first timer is Okay. He has the boy next door looks and can dance well. However, he should have waited for another couple of years as he looked too young to be a hero. Isha Chawla doesn’t have the looks of a heroine. Not many would figure out that she is the lead lady when she appears for the first time. She sizzled in a rain song.
Sindhu Tolani turned into a character artist with this movie. She is good. Dev Gill is wasted. Shafi is routine. Nazar is standard. Ali tries to pump in some energy. Brahmanandam and MS Narayana are not needed.
Analysis:
First half is strictly Okay with routine college comedy and few songs. It gets on to your nerves towards the intermission. Second half too runs on the same note. Vijaya Bhaskar’s desperate attempt to be a Trivikram all by himself boomeranged big time in this movie as he tried to link this love story to terrorism. He followed the pattern of Trivikram’s stories by introducing comedy characters in between. Trivikram has the knack of linking the characters perfectly to the story but Vijaya Bhaskar lacks it completely.
Therefore, the so called comedy scenes involving Brahmanandam and MS Narayana looks forced and unfunny. That lengthy scene has nothing to do with the story. By then the film is set for a climax and director who is completely unaware of that goes for a picnic. Climax is the biggest minus in this film. If anyone wants to pass this off as an average fare until then would fail it mercilessly for that stupid climax scene.
Prasad Varma tries too hard to imitate Trivikram. His rhyming dialogues are painful on ears. Chota K Naidu has gone wasted. He did his best to make this film stylish. Anup Rubens music is peppy but lacks soul. Background score is average. Editing by Gowtham Raju is not up to the mark. Production values are rich. The film looked lavish in each and every frame.
Plus Points: Adi's Action and Production values
Minus Points: Story,Climax, and Direction
Verdict: This looks like an attempt to show Aadi as an actor who can dance, fight and romance since he is looking ahead for portraying mass masala hero roles.Watch it for time pass
